Syllabus for 200 Hour Multi-style Yoga Teacher Training Mallorca (Spain)
Our Multi-style Yoga teacher training is a combination of three main styles of Yoga practiced these days: Traditional Hatha Yoga and its therapeutic aspects, Ashtanga Vinyasa Yoga, and Vinyasa Flow yoga.
Hatha Yoga is the source of most Western yoga practices which spread from Hatha’s approach for stilling the mind and accessing the deeper levels of ourselves through the body and particularly the breath.
A usual Hatha class structure would be a moderately paced practice combining yoga pose (asana), breathing awareness, pranayama (breathing practices), meditation and the chanting of mantras to open or close the class.
A Hatha Yoga practice aims to balance yoga practitioner’s body, keeping it healthy in order to be free from distractions and access the subtle purification of the mind. The Hatha Yoga practitioner will eventually develop a subtle awareness within the body that aids in cultivating a meditative state.
Alignment for injury prevention and adjustment
Here, on our 200 hour Multistyle Yoga Teacher Training we aim for all our students to experience subtle awareness and cultivate a mindful yoga practice.
In Therapeutic Hatha Yoga we assess each student individually in order to give appropriate asana or modification that will correct physical, mental or other levels of imbalance over time. Using an alignment approach to address injury and imbalance we teach students how to modify poses with the correct use of props and physical hands on adjustment to work with students of all kinds.
Ashtanga Vinyasa Yoga
At our 200 hour Multistyle Yoga Teacher Training we instruct Ashtanga Yoga in the tradition of Sri K. Pattabhi Jois. Ashtanga Vinyasa is a dynamic heating practice that aims to detoxify and still the mind. Ujjai breathing is practiced throughout to bring about this detoxifying effect. Ashtanga focuses on one point or dristi to avoid distraction and going inward whilst engaging bandha locks to contain the energy created.
Traditionally Ashtanga is a fixed sequence where each practitioner would practice in the same way every day. The teacher watches and assists, and gives the next pose in the series when the student is ready. The student will eventually build up a full primary series and then be introduced to the next one. This is a systematical approach allowing for the body to gain flexibility and strength slowly.
On our 200 hour Multistyle Yoga Teacher Training our teachers instruct each asana in detail explaining modifications and props where needed. Students practice these asanas according to their capacity. We teach the whole primary series including rules of sequencing, pranayama, chanting and dristi.
Vinyasa Yoga is a modern fast-paced practice derived from the Ashtanga Vinyasa system and the Guru T. Krishnamacharya himself. The essence of the practice is to flow between yoga postures while breath and drishti (eye gaze) are synchronized. Every change is smoothly linked to a breath. The breath supports the movement starting with one posture then onto the next. The difference between ashtanga and Vinyasa is that this last one has not a set sequence and each pose flows into the next organically.
Modern day Vinyasa is popular worldwide and on our 200 hour Multistyle Yoga Teacher Training we focus on instructing our students in intelligent sequencing that both strengthens the body and allows the flow of energy to move. We teach from a safe and proper body alignment point of view, and so even though students will move more quickly we emphasize an holistic and mindful practice that heals and don't harms.

Puerto de Pollensa is a small town located in a beautiful natural setting that leads to a long sandy bay, between a natural park (Sa Albufera) and surrounded by the stunning Tramuntana mountains. The landscape is one of the most spectacular on the Balearic Islands.
The kindness of its people, the richness of its gastronomy, its impressive coastline with beaches and paradisiacal coves, together with the beauty of a typical Mallorcan town full of history and tradition, make Puerto de Pollensa one of the main destinations in Mallorca.
The golden sandy beach surrounded by pine and palm trees is just a few meters away from the accommodation and is the ideal place to relax during the day and sunbathe. The location is ideal to explore by bicycle, practice water sports, and trek with extraordinary views and fauna.
You'll find a wide tourist infrastructure, a beautiful promenade, a splendid array of cafes and restaurants near your hotel, and a wide range of leisure and entertainment. The town is well connected with buses to get to Palma and Alcudia.
From the early years of the 20th century, Pollensa became a favorite place for painters, writers, and other artists who visited the island. Grace Kelly and Prince Ranier spent their honeymoon here, and for decades, a long list of celebrities have visited this location including Elizabeth Taylor, Audrey Hepburn, Winston Churchill, and Charlie Chaplin.

Great teachers with a learning method allowing you to remember and digest all information in a very efficient way. I loved the positive vibe and easy-going yet hard-working hours. I had the best time and felt ready to teach right after getting the confidence to lead a group. Best teacher training ever! Plus not so many SUP yoga teachers yet, so it is a great addition to our skills. Thank you Mayra!
Perfect location to take this course! Mayra, the instructor, communicates easily and makes the experience very smooth. She is patient, she explains everything in detail and corrects you when necessary. You can feel her passion in what she is doing. At the end of the course I felt ready to teach, also thanks to the coaching session led by Andoni.

25-hour SUP Yoga Teacher Training Course (optional)
Why SUP Yoga?
SUP Yoga is the fastest growing water sport in the world and teachers are on high demand. Turn your Yoga classes into a total new experience! Ultimately you will be enriching people’s life through Yoga and the therapeutic effects of the water.
Your students get in touch with nature in a totally different and refreshing way. They have the chance to relax while enjoying the views and the sounds of the sea, and moving in a slow and gentle way.
It is fun and unique way to practice Yoga accessible to ALL AGES and all levels of fitness. Plus it is an excellent workout for the core muscles. The main goal is to keep the balance, thus boosting your focus and bringing stability to the practice.
Where are the SUP Yoga trainings held?
The training takes place in Port d'Alcudia, in the north coast of the island, in one of the most beautiful urban beaches of Mallorca. There is a perfect spot for this discipline, sheltered from the wind, and with crystal clear waters and sandy bottom.
Do I need previous experience in paddle surfing?
We recommend a minimum of 3 hours in Stand Up Paddling to make sure that everyone joining the course can stand up without fear on a SUP board. You don't need to have technical skills, so being able to stand up on the paddle board is enough!
Does everyone successfully graduate?
Your participation, team work, completion of all the assignments during the course, teaching practice, and quizzes are necessary to complete the training. Course certificates cannot be bought.

What is the weather like in Mallorca?
Mallorca experiences great Mediterranean weather with pleasant temperatures, and where clear blue skies and plenty of sunshine are almost guaranteed.
From May to October sunny days can be spent on the beach and although the evenings are a little chilly, the daytime temperatures reach a more than acceptable 21-23º C.
July and August are the peak months for holidaymakers and heat! Temperatures reach over 30º C and there's a water temperature of 25-27º C – so perfect for water sports! Evenings are deliciously warm and there is only a rare chance of rainfall.
From November to April the average daytime temperature is about 15º C - however when the sun comes out this can rapidly climb to 21º C. It's a fabulous time for getting out and about and experiencing the lovely coastline walks and stunning countryside of the island.
Rain is a fact of winter life, but a general rule of thumb is that it only rains for up to 3 days at a time (at least that's what we locals say!). The rest of the time the sun shines down from clear, blue skies. If you visit Mallorca in winter remember to pack some warm clothes. In return, the winter guests have the island almost to themselves - fabulous, deserted beaches with no sun beds or parasols spoiling the view, and the wonderful feeling of peace and tranquility for which Mallorca is so well known.
I've never travelled by myself before, will I be okay on my own?
Fear and nervousness are common feelings (along with excitement!) that people experience in preparation for a trip. The good news is that you are likely in the same boat as 90% of your travel mates — the majority of our participants are attending the course on their own. This means you'll instantly meet a great group of individuals who are just as keen to make new friends and support each other as you.
We will help you arrange the airport pick-up at the airport, taking the stress out of arriving and finding you way to our course location. Once you are here you will be immersed in a community of caring and supportive people who will walk beside you at every step of the way.
Accommodation and meals
Is the accommodation included in the price?
Unlike other schools, we do not lock you in to a costly accommodation package with your training. You can make your own plans using sites such as airbnb or booking.com.
We provide a 4* Adults only Hotel nearby our training venue, staying in a single room with breakfast and with access to the swimming pool and other services. It is located at only 5 minutes walking distance to the beach and the school!
Before deciding where to stay, keep in mind that there is a day that the training begins at dawn, because we are going to see the sun rise on the boards. It will be spectacular and we recommend you to don't miss a thing!
Is there a cafe or supermarket nearby the school?
Yes, you will have an access to plenty of cafes and restaurants at the training location. There are also supermarkets nearby.
I am vegan / gluten intolerant. Will I be okay?
Yes, of course! There are some good vegan spots nearby our school. Some of our favorite ones are: Namaste Indian Restaurant, and Mirablau.
